# Introducing BonkSwap

When Bonk was launched, it had one goal - **to bring the power back to the community that made Solana great.** Bonkswap marks the latest initiative with this goal in mind: a truly decentralized exchange designed to maximize value for both the Bonk community and the Solana community as a whole.

With BonkSwap comes a new age of degeneracy in the Solana ecosystem. While traditional DEXs have proven to be one of crypto's most successful innovations, these platforms often lack imagination when it comes to rewarding users and the communities they depend upon.

**BonkSwap is here to change that.** With BonkSwap, not only will users be able to conduct the usual activities associated with DEXs, but they'll also get the chance to engage in a continuously growing number of games and activities, all designed to maximize the fun and enjoyment across the platform. By participating in these activities, they'll also have the ability to **earn rewards for themselves and their favorite communities in a gamified manner that truly is the first of its kind.**

By optimizing for both community and degeneracy, BonkSwap strives to go beyond the offerings of traditional DEXs and, in doing so, become the **true nexus of degeneracy for the Solana ecosystem.**
